How to Stop Auto-updating in Opera 20

Auto updating of softwares and applications may somewhat cause nuisance for low-budget internet users as it consumes more data and lead to pay more bucks..! In some applications, we can turn it off, but some doesn't allow this. Opera is in this category. So we might need another precaution to prevent auto update in Opera. Let's see how we can do it.!

Step 1
Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Opera or the destination folder where you've installed Opera. Double click and open it.

Step 2
Now, type Auto in the Search Box and press Enter to search it.

Step 3
From the search results, look up for opera_autoupdate.exe. Delete it by pressing the Delete key. [Note] Deleting this file will entirely prevent Opera from updating. And you'll need to download new Opera each time when you'd like to update Opera.

If you're asked for permission to delete it, click on Continue.

That's all..! You've successfully prevented Opera from updating automatically.
